
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

We brought together Marvel Studios and Xbox to launch a STEM campaign rooted in storytelling, technology, and representation. Central to the effort was a Black Panther: Wakanda Forever-inspired MakeCode curriculum that taught youth how to code by creating their own themed mini games. To expand reach, we partnered with nonprofits to distribute the curriculum globally—connecting it to underserved communities often excluded from tech education.

The campaign also featured film-themed giveaways and a live lecture at Howard University that used the movie’s narrative to spark dialogue around innovation and the future of STEM for Black youth, especially girls. The result: over 170,000 young people worldwide coded their first video game. The campaign earned multiple Gold and Silver Clio Awards in 2023.
